Salixkwekerij Bontekoe has been fully dedicated to the cultivation of Salix on stems for almost thirty years. Various varieties are cultivated on different locations in Boskoop and Hazerswoude. The Salix integra Flamingo<\/a> can be considered our ‘flagship product’. This variant originates from the Hakuro Nishiki, is patented and becomes more successful each year. All Salix are grafted and carefully grown in a traditional manner. The container sizes vary from one to seven litres. Because we remove the 'eyes' of the stems, you won't find any wild branches on the trunk. Delivering orders quickly is not a problem. With approximately 4000 m3 of cooling area we are able to deliver the trees at the desired stage. Peter Bontekoe started the nursery in 1980 on his father's land, at that time offering a highly diversified assortment. In 1990, the decision was made to completely switch to the monoculture of Salix. The new name 'Salixkwekerij Bontekoe' was then adopted. The company has now grown four times and measures over twenty acres. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”60″]

The main location of Salixkwekerij Bontekoe is in Boskoop on De Oude Wijk 5. The other two locations can be found in Hazerswoude-Dorp: Loeteweg 39 and Burgemeester Smitweg 99. Each location has its own segment. Salix integra Flamingo<\/span><\/h2>\n <\/div>\n

The patented Salix integra Flamingo was discovered in May 1996 as a mutated plant in a population of the Hakuro Nishiki cultivar. The Flamingo stood out thanks to its pink\/red color spout from green to green\/white colored leaves, the thick and pink to red colored stems, narrower leaves and its good resistance to sun.<\/p>\n
